<div class="elementor-text-editor elementor-clearfix"><h2><b>How <a href="https://alitutors.com/pakistan/lahore/">Tutor</a> Helps with College Course Placement</b></h2><h3><b>Understanding College Course Placement and Its Importance</b></h3><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">College course placement decides what level of classes a student takes when they start college. Good placement can help students skip basic classes, saving time and money while letting them start harder courses. But if they are not ready, they might have to take extra classes, which can slow them down.</span></p><p><b>Tutoring services</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> help students get ready for placement tests so they can show what they know. A tutor helps them review lessons, fix weak spots, and do better on tests, so they can get into higher-level classes.</span></p><h3><b>Mastering Placement Exams with Targeted Support</b></h3><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Placement exams test skills in math, reading, and writing to see if students are ready for college. Many students struggle with these tests because they have learning gaps or get nervous, which can lead to low scores and extra classes.</span></p><p><b>Tutors</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> give focused lessons to help students with their weak spots and teach test-taking tricks. With special lessons and practice tests, students feel more confident and do better on placement exams.</span></p><h3><b>Strengthening Core Subjects for College Readiness</b></h3><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A strong base in math, science, and English is important for doing well in college. If students don’t fully understand these subjects in high school, they may struggle later.</span></p><p><b>Tutoring services</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> help students review key lessons and fill in learning gaps. With extra help and real-life examples, tutors make sure students understand subjects better, so they are ready for college work.</span></p><h3><b>Enhancing Writing Skills for College-Level Success</b></h3><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In college, students need strong writing skills for essays, research papers, and tests. Many high school students have trouble organizing ideas, using correct grammar, and writing clearly.</span></p><p><b>Home tuition in Lahore</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> teaches students step by step how to write essays, analyze information, and use the right format. With tutoring, students build better writing skills, so they can handle college writing with confidence.</span></p><h3><b> Preparing for AP, Honors, and Dual Enrollment Programs</b></h3><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Advanced Placement (AP) and honors classes give students harder lessons, and dual enrollment lets them take college classes while still in high school. Doing well in these programs can help with college applications and earning credits early.</span></p><p><b>Tutoring services</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> support students in these tough courses. Tutors explain difficult topics, give study tips, and help with time management, so students can succeed in challenging classes.</span></p><h2><b>Building Important Skills for College</b></h2><h3><b>Developing Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving Abilities</b></h3><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Critical thinking helps students analyze information, solve problems, and make smart decisions. But many students don’t get enough practice with this skill in regular classes.</span></p><p><b>Tutors</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> help students learn how to think through problems and find different solutions. With fun activities and practice, students learn how to solve problems on their own, which helps in college.</span></p><h3><b>Reducing Test Anxiety and Boosting Confidence</b></h3><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Many students get nervous before tests, which makes it hard to focus and remember answers. Even if they know the subject well, stress can lower their scores.</span></p><p><a href="https://alitutors.com/pakistan/lahore/"><b>Tutoring services</b></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> teach students good study habits and test-taking skills. With practice tests and ways to stay calm, students feel more relaxed and do better on exams.</span></p><h3><b>Fostering a Growth Mindset for Lifelong Learning</b></h3><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A growth mindset helps students see mistakes as a way to learn instead of something bad. Students with this mindset don’t give up when work gets hard.</span></p><p><b>Home tuition in Lahore</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> helps students believe in themselves and keep trying even when things are tough. With positive support, students stay motivated and want to keep learning.</span></p><h3><b>Personalized Learning to Meet Unique Academic Needs</b></h3><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Every student learns in a different way, but schools often teach all students the same way. This can make it hard for some students to keep up.</span></p><p><b>Tutoring services</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> create special lessons based on what each student needs. This way, students learn at their own pace and understand lessons better.</span></p><h3><b>Strengthening Time Management and Study Habits</b></h3><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In college, students need to manage their time well because they have to handle classes, homework, and other activities. Without good time management, they may fall behind.</span></p><p><a href="https://alitutors.com/pakistan/lahore/"><b>Home tuition in Lahore</b></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> teaches students how to plan study time, finish homework on time, and stay organized. These skills help them succeed in college.</span></p><h2><b>Tutoring for Advanced Subjects and Special Programs</b></h2><h3><b> How Tutoring Helps with Advanced Math and Science Courses</b></h3><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Advanced math and science classes need problem-solving skills and a good understanding of hard topics. Some students struggle because these subjects are difficult.</span></p><p><a href="https://alitutors.com/online/math/"><b>Math tutors</b></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> explain hard topics in simple ways and give extra practice. With tutoring, students gain confidence and do better in tough subjects.</span></p><h3><b>The Benefits of Tutoring for Students in Dual Enrollment Programs</b></h3><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Dual enrollment lets students take college classes in high school. These classes can be tough, and students may need extra help.</span></p><p><b>Tutoring services</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> help students understand lessons, keep up with assignments, and adjust to the higher expectations of college work.</span></p><h2><b>Long-Term Academic and Career Benefits</b></h2><h3><b>Enhancing College Applications with Strong Academic Performance</b></h3><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Good grades and strong academic records help students get into college. The better their performance, the better their chances of getting into top schools.</span></p><p><b>Tutoring services</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> help students improve their grades and prepare for hard classes. With better academic records, students have stronger college applications.</span></p><h3><b>Gaining a Competitive Edge for Scholarships and Admissions</b></h3><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Scholarships help students pay for college, but they often require high grades and strong applications.</span></p><p><b>Home tuition in Lahore</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> helps students do well in school, prepare for scholarship tests, and write good application essays. This gives them a better chance of winning scholarships.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">With the right </span><b>tutoring services</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">, high school students can be ready for college, feeling confident and prepared for success!</span></p></div>

<div class="elementor-text-editor elementor-clearfix"><p>Have you ever felt stuck on a tough math problem or confused about a school subject? If so, you’re not alone! Many students need a little extra help with their studies, and that’s okay. This is where a tutor can help. But do you really need one? Let’s explore what tutors do, why they can be helpful, and how to decide if tutoring is right for you.</p><h2><strong>What is a Tutor?</strong></h2><div><strong> </strong></div><p>A tutor is a person who helps students understand their schoolwork. Tutors can:</p><p>✅ Explain difficult subjects in a simple way.<br />✅ Help with homework and test preparation.<br />✅ Teach study tips to make learning easier.<br />✅ Give extra practice to help students improve.</p><p>Some tutors teach in person, while others teach online. For example, if you need help with math, you can find a tutor online at <a href="https://alitutors.com/online/math/" target="_new" rel="noopener">Math Tutoring</a>.</p><hr /><h2><strong>Do You Need a Tutor?</strong></h2><div><strong> </strong></div><p>Not sure if tutoring is right for you? Ask yourself these questions:</p><ul><li>Do I have trouble understanding certain subjects?</li><li>Do I feel nervous about tests and exams?</li><li>Do I take a long time to finish my homework?</li><li>Do I want to improve my grades?</li><li>Do I wish I had more time to ask questions in class?</li></ul><p>If you answered <strong>&#8220;yes&#8221;</strong> to some of these, a tutor might be helpful. You can also look for local tutors, like <a href="https://alitutors.com/pakistan/lahore/" target="_new" rel="noopener">Tutors in Lahore</a>, if you want in-person lessons.</p><hr /><h2><strong>How Can a Tutor Help You?</strong></h2><p><span style="font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif;">T</span><span style="font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif;">utors offer many benefits, such as:</span></p><h3><strong>⭐ One-on-One Attention</strong></h3><p>In a big classroom, teachers have to help many students at once. A tutor can focus only on <strong>you</strong>, making it easier to learn.</p><h3><strong>⭐ Learning at Your Own Speed</strong></h3><p>Some subjects may feel too fast in school. A tutor can slow things down and explain everything step by step.</p><h3><strong>⭐ Better Grades</strong></h3><p>With extra practice and support, you can improve your grades and feel more confident in class.</p><h3><strong>⭐ Less Stress About School</strong></h3><p>When you understand your lessons, school feels easier and more fun!</p><p>If you want a tutor who can teach different subjects, you can check out <a href="https://cioaltutors.com/" target="_new" rel="noopener">CIOAL Tutors</a>.</p><hr /><h2><strong>Are There Any Downsides?</strong></h2><p>Tutoring is very helpful, but there are a few things to think about:</p><p>🚫 <strong>Tutors Can Be Expensive</strong> – Some private tutors cost money, but there are also free or affordable options.</p><p>🚫 <strong>Extra Time Needed</strong> – You may need to spend extra hours on tutoring, so it&#8217;s important to balance it with school, hobbies, and rest.</p><p>🚫 <strong>Not a Quick Fix</strong> – A tutor won’t magically improve grades overnight. You still have to practice and put in effort!</p><hr /><h2><strong>How to Choose the Right Tutor</strong></h2><p><span style="font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif;">Here are some tips to find a good tutor:</span></p><ul><li>Pick someone who is <strong>good at the subject</strong> you need help with.</li><li>Make sure they <strong>explain things in a way you understand</strong>.</li><li>Choose between <strong>online or in-person tutoring</strong>, depending on what works best for you.</li><li>Ask teachers or parents for recommendations.</li></ul><p>If you’re looking for experienced tutors, you can visit <a href="https://alitutors.com/">Ali Tutors</a> or <a href="https://cioaltutors.com/" target="_new" rel="noopener">CIOAL Tutors</a> to explore options.</p><hr /><h2><strong>Other Ways to Improve in School</strong></h2><p>If you can’t get a tutor, there are still other ways to do better in school:</p><p>📚 <strong>Join a Study Group</strong> – Studying with friends can make learning more fun!<br />💻 <strong>Use Online Resources</strong> – Websites like YouTube and Khan Academy offer free lessons.<br />📝 <strong>Ask Your Teacher for Help</strong> – Teachers are happy to help if you have questions.<br />⏳ <strong>Practice, Practice, Practice!</strong> – The more you study, the better you’ll get.</p><hr /><h2> </h2><p>A tutor can be a great way to improve in school, but it’s important to decide if it&#8217;s right for you. If you need extra help with subjects like math or science, tutoring might be a good idea.</p><p>If you&#8217;re interested in tutoring, you can check out <a href="https://alitutors.com/online/math/" target="_new" rel="noopener">Ali Tutors for math</a> or <a href="https://cioaltutors.com/" target="_new" rel="noopener">CIOAL Tutors</a> for different subjects.</p><p><strong>So, do you think a tutor could help you? For example, you might use a lecture or you might use a student-centred approach. You might also use a combination of these teaching strategies.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:12pt;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">Some teaching strategies will work for one group of students and other teaching strategies might not work for another group. The reason for this is that everyone learns differently and has different learning styles. This means that some students will learn best from verbal instruction while others learn best when given visual cues. If you are a visual learner, you may need to look at the information on a whiteboard or projector screen in the form of images, videos, or infographics. Nevertheless, here we will discuss some of the teaching strategies that will help you make your teaching more effective.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:12pt;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">&nbsp;</span></p><h2 dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:18pt;margin-bottom:4pt;"><span style="font-size:17pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:700;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">Technology in the classroom</span></h2><p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:12pt;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">Technology is an essential part of the world today. Students take more interest in studies when you incorporate technology. It attracts them more than anything else because some of the wonderful things will happen by using it which were not possible before.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:12pt;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">I believe that learning can be more interactive with the use of technology as students can quickly research their ideas while being physically engaged during lessons, which develops autonomy. Mobile devices, such as iPads and/or tablets, can be used in the classroom for students to record results, take videos, or simply as a behaviour management technique.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:12pt;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">When you&#8217;re teaching a lesson plan, you want to make sure that your students are learning and retaining the information. It was no surprise that they reported that it&#8217;s a fun way for their students to practice their skills and see how they are improving. The concept has been around for a while and is gaining momentum in education. Students are engaged and become better learners when they are actively involved in their learning. Therefore helping students understand how the concepts apply to real-life will make their life a lot easier. They will surely enjoy and start thinking and exploring concepts more. I can understand it is not possible to practically show every concept for the teacher him or herself, but for that purpose use an interactive whiteboard and projector or screen to display photos, audio clips, and videos can be used.</span></p><h2 dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:18pt;margin-bottom:4pt;"><span style="font-size:17pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:700;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">Inquiry-based instruction</span></h2><p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:12pt;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">Inquiry-based instruction involves asking students to investigate problems on their own, rather than telling them what the answer should be. Asking questions that challenge students to think for themselves encourages them to be more independent learners. This type of instruction is not just beneficial for math or science subjects but also for the arts. By encouraging students to think for themselves, you help them develop critical thinking skills that will help them succeed in the real world.</span></p><h2 dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:18pt;margin-bottom:4pt;"><span style="font-size:17pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:700;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">Gamification</span></h2><p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:12pt;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">Gamification is a popular term used to describe using game mechanics to take pupils&#8217; love for games and turn it into an engaging learning experience. Gamification is not just for kids. It can be a great way to motivate and engage adults in learning too. When we&#8217;re doing something we love, our brains are more focused and we become better learners. There is also a study from South Korea that states gamification keeps students motivated and active in their studies. This is because we spend more time on things that we love doing.</span></p><h2 dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:18pt;margin-bottom:4pt;"><span style="font-size:17pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:700;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">&nbsp;</span></h2><h2 dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:18pt;margin-bottom:4pt;"><span style="font-size:17pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:700;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">Modeling</span></h2><p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:12pt;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">It&#8217;s easy to teach kids what to do, but it&#8217;s a bit challenging to show them how to do it. It is important to show them exactly how you would do it, so they can see exactly what they need to do. By demonstrating your own technique, you show students how you learn and why your methods work. It&#8217;s a great way for them to develop their social skills, especially if they&#8217;re shy or introverted. This method of teaching is effective because it teaches students how to work and communicate with other people, think critically about problems, and how to solve problems.</span></p><h2 dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:18pt;margin-bottom:4pt;"><span style="font-size:17pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:700;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">&nbsp;</span></h2><h2 dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:18pt;margin-bottom:4pt;"><span style="font-size:17pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:700;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">Student-Led Classroom</span></h2><p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:12pt;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">Students learn things that they wouldn&#8217;t have learned otherwise when they become the teacher for the day. You can make groups of students to teach to the entire class a new topic. You will be amazed to find their fellows more engaged in lessons when their peers teach because they can better relate to them.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:12pt;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">&nbsp;</span></p><h2 dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:18pt;margin-bottom:4pt;"><span style="font-size:17pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:700;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">Project-based learning</span></h2><p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:12pt;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">This teaching strategy is when students take a role in an authentic real-life problem. Project-Based Learning is a proven methodology that allows students to actively engage in and make meaning of content in order to develop critical thinking skills, develop knowledge and build relationships with the content, all of which support their success in higher education. However, some people criticize that this teaching strategy more focuses on product creation rather than learning, and it is not possible to assess students properly.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:12pt;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">&nbsp;</span></p><h2 dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:18pt;margin-bottom:4pt;"><span style="font-size:17pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:700;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">Class Discussion</span></h2><p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:12pt;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">Class discussion is a great way to build on what your students have learned and get feedback from them. This is where you can get a lot of useful information from your students. You can also assess their knowledge and get a feel for how well they understand the material and if they need more instruction.</span></p><h2 dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:18pt;margin-bottom:4pt;"><span style="font-size:17pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:700;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">Lesson Objective Transparency</span></h2><p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:12pt;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">If you don&#8217;t tell your students what they are going to learn, they might find it difficult to follow the lessons. You must have a clear objective for each lesson for them. You could write it on the board or announce it to the class. This will help them what they are going to learn by the end of the lecture. This then also helps them revise and stress less in coming up exams.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:12pt;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">&nbsp;</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:12pt;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span id="docs-internal-guid-95a7b55d-7fff-27ef-b1af-bb024726d0bc"></span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:12pt;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">In conclusion, it is important to know your student&#8217;s learning styles. Also, it is important to use this knowledge to plan your lesson plans. One of the most important things for a teacher to remember is that there are no magic tricks to teaching. It’s just a lot of hard work. If you want to get the best out of your students, you need to spend a lot of time planning and preparing. If you’re going to be a great teacher, you have to put in the effort and dedication. It’s the only way you can get the results you’re looking for.</span></p>

One of the greatest mathematicians, Lawrence Martinek, once said: “Children don’t hate math, what they hate is being confused, intimidated and embarrassed by math”. Even though this mathematician said it all in these few words, let us have an explanatory insight about what is going on in the mind of a child when he or she says “I hate mathematics”.</span></p>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:12pt;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">Why students don’t like math? The teacher plays a big role in this regard. If he/she has taught the students that they have the right to make mistakes and it is the mistakes that people learn from, the students are less likely to “hate” math. Learning from scratch, children learn counting and addition/ subtraction etc. and most do it with interest, but what is it that reaching grade 5 or so and then up to higher and higher classes, the students began to try to distant themselves away from math or math-related subjects like statistics? why students don’t like Math and how to make them love it? Again the question comes in the mind, looping over and over, why students don’t like Math and how to make them love it?</span></p>
<h5 dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:11pt;margin-bottom:2pt;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:700;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">So after all, why students don’t like Math? The thing is getting the right answer in math calculations, makes us feel good or say happy and rewarding. This is because things are going the way we want them to be. Getting the wrong answer will lead the student to confusion about why is this happening even though he thought well before doing the calculations, and if this happens repeatedly, the student gives up and thinks he will never be able to do it anyway, and that feeling forces him to distant himself from math. This is what causes the fear of math or “intimidation” as the mathematician Lawrence says. Now here your brain will start to follow up and understand why students don’t like Math and how to make them love it.</span></h5>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:12pt;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">Why students don’t like Math and how to make them love it?&nbsp; One theory also says students find it to be boring and the reason for this is that seeming it is useless knowledge to them. This is also why some students don’t like Math. They find it a less creative way of expressing oneself like there will be only a few ways to work out certain calculations and get the right answer. Since they find it boring we can make use of new technology to keep up with the new generation’s enthusiasm by showing them “boring” things online in a fun and easy way. Online tuition is one such way. Here we are talking about an</span><a href="https://cioaltutors.com/online-math-tutor/" style="text-decoration:none;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;"> </span><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#1155cc;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:underline;-webkit-text-decoration-skip:none;text-decoration-skip-ink:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">online maths tutor</span></a><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">.</span></p>
<h5 dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:11pt;margin-bottom:2pt;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:700;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">An online maths tutor can utilize multiple software, like that can simulate real-life examples of calculations, and use 3D software to teach about shapes and geometry stuff. Learning with an online maths tutor, most probably, will feel “cool”. There are numerous solutions to the problem of “why students don’t like Math and how to make them love it”. And one of the solutions is hiring a good online maths</span><a href="https://cioaltutors.com/" style="text-decoration:none;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:700;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;"> </span><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial;color:#1155cc;background-color:transparent;font-weight:700;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:underline;-webkit-text-decoration-skip:none;text-decoration-skip-ink:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">tutor</span></a><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:700;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;"> as mentioned.</span></h5>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:12pt;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">Now that we know the root of the problem, how can we overcome it? How to connect students to math? What can be done to make them love it? Lawrence Martinek also points out students being “embarrassed by math”. This is the embarrassment of either telling the wrong answer in front of the whole class or maybe embarrassing by oneself, which by the way, has other factors.</span></p>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:12pt;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">One thing we can say is that things have to be changed at a grass-root level. Teachers should encourage to bring the right answers and also to make mistakes, both at the same time. This will be possible by not rebuking and scolding or even reacting back with negative energy when students do mistakes, especially when they are little ones. We should also relate math to real-life situations to them, and give actual examples of someone using that particular topic of math in his/her field of work.</span></p>
<h5 dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:11pt;margin-bottom:2pt;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:700;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">Obviously one has to guide the correct method but again should not be discouraging making mistakes. This also means that a math class should not be a mere focus on numbers, but also a lesson for life. When students start to feel frustrated by not getting the right answer by quite a few trials, their teachers should teach them it is a part of life and not purely that of math, but there is light at the end of every tunnel any way so keep trying without giving up.</span></h5>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:12pt;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">Cioaltutors has, taking all this into consideration, instructed all its tutors whether for home or</span><a href="https://cioaltutors.com/online-tutors/" style="text-decoration:none;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;"> </span><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#1155cc;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:underline;-webkit-text-decoration-skip:none;text-decoration-skip-ink:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">online tuition</span></a><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">, especially online maths tutors to not only teach the subject but ‘apply’ them to real-life situations. Using online platforms/ online tuition is also another way of connecting to a good tutor especially an online maths tutor if the right one is not there in your area. So you can also use the platform of CioalTutors to get online tuition/ to connect to a good online maths tutor.</span></p>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:12pt;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">Our tutors keep in mind the psychological makeup of the child and try to connect them with maths even at elementary levels. If students began to part away from math in the earlier stages, how are we going to expect them to choose math-related subjects? There is a need of changing our attitudes towards math and also how we allow students to play with different techniques and methods and learn by trial and error. By now you must have realized “why students don’t like Math and must have understood how to make them love it.</span></p>
<h5 dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:11pt;margin-bottom:2pt;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:700;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">If only we have the guts of making mistakes, we are going to be the ones who try again and again. And by doing so, we will see things i.e. the calculations are going as expected and we will gain confidence. One may argue well that math gets more and more complex the higher you go in education. That is true. However, the problem doesn’t lie in the introduction of formulas and complexity itself, but in our experience with math before, in the early stages of education when we were children. Once affected at an early age by something, it is very hard to get rid of that feeling, psychologically speaking.</span></h5>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:12pt;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">So is there more to “why students don’t like Math and what can be done to make them love it?” Well, yes! Another answer for “why students don’t like Math is as follows. Sometimes there is a need for a supporter who counsels side by side and encourages to make mistakes helping side by side to get things right. And that person needs to be tolerant, knowledgeable and encouraging at the same time. CioalTutors brings its tutors under strict screening so that they serve this purpose properly. We have a great network for online tuition. You can contact us if you are looking for a great online maths tutor. When you send your children to school, assumingly your aim is to cater them with quality education, so that they can read and write, that their understanding of the world increases, that their hidden potential comes to the surface, and their creativity is put to work. You invest in them so that they become someone in the future who has a good reputable position in whatever field they are in, and stand out from others in the field. Even though you want these demands to be fulfilled by the school, you as a parent most probably have never thought about verifying the schools whatever they are famous for, and never have done a little bit of research.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 12pt; margin-bottom: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Most parents are unaware of the standards of the school they send them to, and they do not get the results from schools that they expect. There are lots of things to discuss on this issue.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 12pt; margin-bottom: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Parents must understand that they can not put the responsibility of bringing up their child completely on others. They will have to look after things and make sure themselves if things are going in the right direction. Parents take for granted that the institutes of learning are schools only because that is where they learn, which is a false notion. The institutes of learning are not only schools, but homes, other places of gatherings, society, and the company of friends, all of these fall into the category of institutes of learning.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 12pt; margin-bottom: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Here is a piece of advice for all parents out there that, even when you hire a home teacher for a subject that needs special attention, let’s say, a</span><a style="text-decoration: none;" href="https://cioaltutors.com/math-tutor/"> <span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #1155cc; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: underline; -webkit-text-decoration-skip: none; text-decoration-skip-ink: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">math tutor</span></a><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">, you should keep an eye on your children from time to time. You should know the behaviour of the teacher towards your children and in general. This is crucially important for your children’s good upbringing. You cannot overlook the fact that your children are inclined to the habits of the people they are spending time with.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 12pt; margin-bottom: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Although our team has experienced that homeschooling is better than traditional schooling, you have the complete right to have your own opinion based on facts and your experience. A member of our team, an educational researcher, who is also a teacher and </span><a style="text-decoration: none;" href="https://cioaltutors.com/online-tutors/"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #1155cc; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: underline; -webkit-text-decoration-skip: none; text-decoration-skip-ink: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">online tutor</span></a><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">, informed us that his students who were not going to school were performing better than those who were going.</span></p><h3 dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 14pt; margin-bottom: 4pt;"><span style="font-size: 13pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: bold; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Why is homeschooling better than traditional schooling?</span></h3><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 12pt; margin-bottom: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">To understand that homeschooling is better than traditional schooling, first, we need to establish what ‘learning’ is, basically. Learning, as generally assumed, is not the process of memorizing stuff. It is a wider term that refers to the ‘change in behavior of a person as a result of experience’. This experience can be that of the school environment or even that of home. Now, looking through the critical lenses, are our children surely getting from the schools what they ought to? At school, your child is not only exposed to the books but also to his fellow children and also to his teachers, and how they behave. Their behavior, without doubt, matters. The relationship between your child and them is what has a significant impact on your child’s psyche.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 12pt; margin-bottom: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">A significant part of the day is what a child spends at school, so you cannot ignore how that experience influences your child. Is there any way you can control what your child should get exposed to and what he should not, at school? Not really. Indeed there are pros to sending your child to school. First, you can spend your time elsewhere, rather than looking after your child. Second you children get a chance to learn from where there is a learning environment. There are extracurricular activities where their true potential is tapped and they express their creativity. But if we begin to count the cons, for some they are what many parents cannot ignore when they come to learn about the truth.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 12pt; margin-bottom: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Children from different families and backgrounds come to school. It is possible that your child comes to pick up bad habits and vulgar language from their friends and fellows. One could argue ‘oh there are types of people around the world, so let our children be exposed to such an environment from early age and face it so they learn how to live in the future’ well the thing is there are alternatives for their social growth which we will discuss later, but this is too early for them to deal with evil things. Believe it or not, children are learning horrible things at school. A student of Grade 3 reported years ago that while having lunch in break time, out of nowhere a class fellow came over to me with an evil grin on his face, whispering into my ears “you know when you go to such and such dot com you will find dirty things ha-ha”.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 12pt; margin-bottom: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Others had to face bullies from school which affected them for life with a permanent mark on their feelings. Some fall into inferiority complex while others begin to suffer post-traumatic stress disorders in extreme cases. And if you are in a foreign region, or even from a different part of the country your child will have to deal with racial slurs and will face kinds of bullying and racism on a daily basis. We can give numerous examples for such incidents but the span of this writing won’t allow us.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 12pt; margin-bottom: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Adding fuel to the fire, parents are allowing children in their early ages to own a smartphone, to waste their precious time, and do whatnot on it without any restrictions. The sad reality is that the masses follow the trends without thinking about the consequences, and so parents follow what other parents are doing. If they really wish their child to stand out, they must make sure things balance the correct way.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 12pt; margin-bottom: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: bold; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Well, what shall parents be doing then?</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 12pt; margin-bottom: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">They should homeschool their child. Yes. Homeschooling is the best alternative to these problems. At home, your child is under constant supervision and there is no chance of them learning bad behaviour. There must be a set routine at home in which children have to study. If parents worry that they could not handle all this they must consult educationists on how to keep balance. indeed the money spent on such consultations will be worthwhile, as compared to the lots of bucks spent on school. Alternatively, parents can take Help from a professional tutor if they are not that proficient in the subjects.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 12pt; margin-bottom: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">This will be way more economical than schools, and indeed your child must be learning what he or she is ought to in this way. Build a communication bridge and a bond of friendship with your children from their infancy and do not act like a tyrannical dictator. As for socializing, which homeschooling parents might worry about, take your children to places and show them how you interact and socialize with people, they will learn, and obviously in a controlled environment. Some may argue that if the school environment is not controlled, how about public places? They are worse! Well, the answer to such a question is that when children are repetitively in contact with people, they choose someone to be an ideal to imitate. Naturally, you will be their ideal when they see you behaving carefully and balanced in good and bad environments.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 12pt; margin-bottom: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Indeed homeschooling comes with responsibility and parents should be taking this responsibility because what can be more satisfying than successfully imparting the concepts and modifying your child’s behavior to something better, after all!</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 12pt; margin-bottom: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Everyone needs to prosper and grow to keep up with others in this fast-paced world. For that, we must produce worthy citizens in our nation so that they contribute to the well-being of the nation. However, when parents don’t give attention to their children and they are influenced by the unproductive people of the society, actually, they are giving unproductive individuals to the nation. So if you want to contribute to the prosperity of society, you need to put all your efforts into your children’s upbringing and education. You must do everything you can to make them responsible citizens of society.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 12pt; margin-bottom: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">With that in mind, parents also need to have a healthy and friendly relationship with their children. You must monitor your children’s activities. Plus you should be aware of what type of people they are gathering with. Your bond with your children should be strong enough that they tell you anything without any hesitation. Many reported cases are there where people tell a ‘’bad’’ story after a long time when it happened.</span></p><p> </p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 12pt; margin-bottom: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">They couldn’t share it at the right time with their parents because of either reason — there was a lack of understanding and bonding between themselves and their parents or they were afraid of the consequences they might face after sharing it. Both reasons are actually overlapping. To make your relationship stronger with your children, you should involve yourself in activities your children take interest in with them. You should play with them and listen to their worries even when they are young. In fact, you should behave like a child with your children. Don’t let them feel that you are superior to them.</span></p><h6><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span></h6><h6><span style="font-weight: 400;">Links:</span></h6><h4><span lang="EN-GB"><a href="https://cioaltutors.com/">home tutor Lahore<br /></a></span><a style="font-size: 1rem; font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; background-color: #ffffff;" href="https://cioaltutors.com/">home tuition in Islamabad<br /></a><span lang="EN-GB"><a href="https://cioaltutors.com/math-tutor/">IGCSE Math tutor<br /></a></span><a href="https://pastpapers.cioaltutors.com/chemistry-o-level-past-papers/">chemistry o level past papers<br /></a><a href="https://pastpapers.cioaltutors.com/biology-o-level-past-papers/">biology o level past papers<br /></a><span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Calibri','sans-serif'; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-bidi; mso-ansi-language: EN-GB; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;"><a href="https://pastpapers.cioaltutors.com/english-o-level-past-papers/"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bahnschrift SemiLight SemiConde','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-theme-font: major-bidi;">English o level past papers<br /></span></a></span><a href="https://pastpapers.cioaltutors.com/igcse-maths-past-papers/">igcse maths past papers<br /></a><a href="https://pastpapers.cioaltutors.com/igcse-chemistry-past-papers/">igcse chemistry past papers<br /></a><a href="https://pastpapers.cioaltutors.com/igcse-physics-past-papers/">igcse physics past papers<br /></a><a href="https://pastpapers.cioaltutors.com/igcse-biology-past-papers/">igcse biology past papers<br /></a><span lang="EN-GB"><a href="https://facebook.com/cioaltutors/">tutor</a></span></h4><p> </p></div>

<div class="elementor-text-editor elementor-clearfix"><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">We all know that without education it is very tough to survive in the current day and age. Further, in today&#8217;s fast-paced world, we need to study smartly to keep up with other people. Whether you plan to do your own business or to do a job, you have to have a very strong command and sound knowledge of your niche. Likewise, You need to know how to manage things, etc. to be productive. Here we are not referring to any type of degree or certificate but the knowledge itself.&nbsp;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">It is argued that if you follow your passion while studying you will find it a piece of cake. However, sometimes it seems so tough to keep necessary things in the brain. You struggle to the point that you think of giving up. Well, that is when you have to study smartly. You work on things that will make the subject of your interest a lot easier. Nonetheless, you still have to put all your efforts and hard work to achieve something in life.&nbsp;</span></p>
<h5><span style="font-weight: 400;">Today we will take a look at some techniques on how to study smartly… Schools have been utilizing various studying methods universally, from rote learning to concept building. However, there is one thing that is common for both ways- both of them require time, dedication, and hard work.</span></h5>
<div><span style="font-weight: 400;">&nbsp;</span></div>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">If you are following every method out there to make things easier and you are still struggling you might also need to hire a qualified and subject specialist</span><a href="https://cioaltutors.com/"> <span style="font-weight: 400;">home tutor</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, or </span><a href="https://cioaltutors.com/online-tutors/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">online tutor</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> who will help you through your study along your journey of your education. You can take advantage of websites like “CIOAL tutors” etc. and find your best tutors from tutoring services. You can get one-to-one help, online or on-site from a specialist</span><a href="https://cioaltutors.com/math-tutor/"> <span style="font-weight: 400;">maths tutor</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">,</span><a href="https://cioaltutors.com/english-tutor/"> <span style="font-weight: 400;">English Tutor</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, or tutors of any other subjects.</span></p>
<h4><span style="font-weight: 400;">The trends in education</span></h4>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Now if we look at how students have been learning what they learn, we will be able to point many pros and cons out of their methodologies. Whether it is learning something by heart or understanding something to its fullest.</span></p>
<h5><span style="font-weight: 400;">The truth is we will have to make use of more than one methodology. There are some concepts that a student needs to understand in depth. So that he is able to answer unseen questions from the subject. On the other hand, we do have things to memorize also, like the order of electromagnetic series in Physics. Similar is the example of reactivity series in chemistry. The point is that the educational process is incomplete without either of the ways- rote learning and concept building.</span></h5>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">People argue that in some schools there is more emphasis on memorizing things as compared to understanding. However, we should also not forget the fact that indeed there are things to memorize even when you have to understand something. An understood fact is in fact a part of the memory itself. The proof is that if one has not revised a concept that you have learnt earlier for long, over time the concept will be lost and one will have to reconsider it again.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The trends, however, are not very good for utilizing both of the ways. If we observe carefully, we can see that many things can be done more efficiently as compared to how they are being done.</span></p>
<h2><span style="font-weight: 400;">How to study smartly?</span></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">When it comes to learning, the basic foundation is obviously laid by making children memorize the letters properly with proper order and pronunciation. Children like to play with colors and toys. So we associate learning with playing for children so they acquire an interest in learning. They are provided with toys that look like letters, games are created, and poems. Likewise, poems about ABCDs and numbers because rhythm resonates with the hearts and things get interesting. They are told to sing out loud because it helps in the memorization process.</span></p>

Study motivation for students” (Edit)">How to motivate yourself to study?</a><span style="font-weight: 400;"><br></span></p>
<p><span style="font-style: inherit; color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif;">&nbsp;</span><span style="font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif;">Many things can be deduced from how we were learning what we were learning in these primary classes. Researches have been conducted in this regard in the past but one of the most important ones was carried out by the Psychologist Ebbinghaus. His experiment also showed how to study smartly. He invented numerous words that made no sense and had no meanings, which he called “non-sense syllables”. He formed two groups of people of equal standards. The scientist made one group learn meaningful short words while the other group made them learn nonsense syllables.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Then after a while, he asked them to recall, and the results were amazing. It was found out that over time both the groups forgot those words which they had memorized, but the ones with meanings were less forgotten, yet the nonsense syllables were quickly forgotten. One might say, well this is common sense; it is obvious that we forget things over time, so what is the big deal? The thing is that the forgotten words are basically not deleted completely from your mind but are lost somewhere in the deep oceans of your subconscious part of the brain.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">When you are not able to recall something does not mean that it is no more there in your brain. It is indeed there but shattered and in a scattered form which when you revise, you basically regroup the data together and consolidate it in your mind until you are sure you are able to recall.</span></p>
<h6><span style="font-weight: 400;">So the pieces of data that had no meanings were less easily tapped from the nonconscious part of the brain. While the meaningful words were less disintegrated.</span></h6>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">They were not lost deeply in the wilds of the brain, unlike the meaningless words. So they were not forgotten earlier. This proved that an idea about the meaningful word, or the concept of it already existed in the brain. So it was less of an effort for the brain to put the words in order; as for the nonsense syllables, there was nothing in the memory to associate with, so it was not easy a job for the brain to put those words in order. This clearly showed that to study smartly you have to understand things well. A similar experiment was attempted at “the</span><a href="https://cioaltutors.com/"> <span style="font-weight: 400;">home tutor in Lahore</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> ( an educational institute located in Lahore, Pakistan) ” and surprisingly results were quite similar.</span></p>
<h5><span style="font-weight: 400;">The point is that rote learning and concept building complete each other. They complement each other. They go side by side and one is useless without the other. So giving one way more emphasis and importance yet ignoring the other can never be a good idea.</span></h5>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Let’s take for example a person who has to memorize a line from a literary work of a different language. He might have to repeat it out. Let&#8217;s say 100 times to memorize the line with proper word order. If he sings it out loud it may take less time but if one understands the language and the syntax of the words. It will surely take less time to memorize the line because the research has proven fewer things are forgotten and stay there in your active memory for long if they make sense to you if they have some meaning. Repetitions will make them permanently inscribed in your memory. The delay between repetitions will be bigger if you keep forgetting what you memorized. Indeed you will keep forgetting it if you have not understood the concept or the meaning of the learning objective.</span></p>
<h5><span style="font-weight: 400;">The bigger the delay between repetitions, the more will be the chance to forget and more effort and time will be spent thus. Scientifically it is proven if you have energy and do not need rest. Your repetitions will help you memorize your subject more efficiently.</span></h5>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">But there is a disclaimer here when you do not have enough energy you should stop with the repetitions. You should take a small rest between memorization and trying to recall. AS it takes for your brain to create concepts, which are basically the classification of associated things in the brain. How to know if you have or do not have the energy mentioned above? Did you ever have that feeling someday when you were studying for upcoming exams or tests when suddenly you lose your focus and unusually feel difficulty in getting back on your track? Sometimes it becomes so difficult that even if one tries to read the last few lines again to link it up with the next lines, the efforts are to no avail. This is when your brain needs rest to recover from oxygen debt and revive energy.</span></p>
<h6><span style="font-weight: 400;">In a nutshell, improve and improvise your techniques to make your learning more efficient. Things as simple as reading the objective matter out loud can help. As well as, getting it understood from the sources where they are more simply explained. Why would you bother to read big fat books cover to cover and have your precious time wasted where you could have done more productive things when you have resources like notes written by the professional subject specialists on the internet and elsewhere? There are superb videos out there on the internet on various subjects, and time by time, a number of instructors are showing up online. There is a high chance that you will find someone whose style of teaching suits you the most.</span></h6>

Without education, it is nearly impossible to grow and survive in today’s day and age &#8211; and to gain the knowledge you must study. Without motivation, you can’t do something to its fullest. Likewise, you need the motivation to study. In this writing, our main focus is – how to motivate yourself to study?</span></p>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:12pt;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">Before getting into how to motivate yourself to study let’s see what motivation actually is. Scientifically speaking, the word motivation refers to the internal psychological energy that drives a person to do something. Our everyday life is dependent on this particular aspect of our psychological makeup. But here we are going to discuss motivation in terms of studying specifically. We will discuss how to maneuver that internal force for the purpose of studying. Before we talk about how one can motivate himself to study, we will look into when and how we are motivated. Then work out the ways that can be sought to change our attitude towards study.</span></p>

It is </span><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:Arial;color:#666666;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:italic;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">&#8220;interest&#8221;</span><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:Arial;color:#666666;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">. The more interest-arousing a book is</span><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:Arial;color:#666666;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:italic;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;"> for you</span><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:Arial;color:#666666;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">, the more you will want to read. Maybe you have had that experience when you are not in the mood of studying or reading and you randomly start to turn over the pages. However going through pages you find something that is catchy, relatable, or something that you were curious about knowing. From there you keep on reading. All of a sudden you are motivated to read!</span></h4>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:12pt;margin-bottom:12pt;"><br></p>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:12pt;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">Why does it happen? Human beings basically seek rewards, the feeling of satisfaction comes when they learn something they want to. Because they know in their instincts that someday this knowledge is going to benefit them in the future. So in this case the reward is the feeling of satisfaction obtained through finding out what one wanted to learn.</span></p>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:12pt;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">Many of us must have also felt that slight anxiety during or while preparing for exams. That is normal and nothing to worry about. Without slight anxiety and this feeling of an adrenaline rush, many things in life would be virtually impossible or at least we can say, less possible. A person would become an emotionless dull robotic machine thereby. Because there would be no kind of push to do something. Actually, there has been a case of a grown-up tech genius who seemed very healthy outwardly but began to suffer from a psychological illness that reduced his motivation level to null, so much so that he had to be told even to attend to the call of nature when it was required &#8211; that was maybe an ultimate example of lack of motivation.</span></p>
<h4 dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:11pt;margin-bottom:2pt;"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:Arial;color:#666666;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">This example shows that indeed that slight anxious feeling is a basic need for a stable psychological makeup. Those who are well prepared for exams also feel it let alone those who spent their entire years playing games, watching movies, and hanging out with friends, and at the end of the year, they want all the syllabus to be magically crammed and stored in their brains somehow, which is a proof that even if you are not too much fond of studying, you will still be pushed to prepare for the exams at least. In this case, the low amount of time left for the exams is what motivates you.</span></h4>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:12pt;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">What your brain is basically seeking the reward. The reward does not have to be a material thing but can be the satisfaction of passing, or of getting good grades, (which shouldn’t be, by the way, the only motive for a student, and is discussed in another article ( <a href="https://cioaltutors.com/grades-are-important-but-not-everything/" target="_blank">Grades are important but not everything</a>! )&nbsp; as is not the topic of the discussion).</span></p>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:12pt;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">In the language of psychology, the promise for the reward that your brain gives you is called the incentive. Your brain keeps on telling you to do certain satisfying tasks that you have experienced or may not have experienced with a promise that you will be rewarded with the feeling of satisfaction. It is basically these promises or ‘incentives’, to be more technical, that drive people to do something. Incentives can be good and also bad.</span></p>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:12pt;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">It is indeed these incentives that force &#8221;addict&#8221; people to carry on with their drugs. The same is the case with other addictions also as game addictions and obsessions, etc. The addict is basically seeking pleasure. Even though he knows for sure that he won’t feel the pleasure he felt the first time indulging in it out of curiosity, but still he does it and gives in to the false promises of the brain. So he is kept motivated to do the bad things. There should be some way to maneuver this promise for good purposes like doing productive things such as studying.</span></p>
<h4 dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:12pt;margin-bottom:2pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:700;font-style:italic;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">How to motivate yourself to study</span></h4>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:12pt;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">How to maneuver those promises of the brain, how to motivate yourself to study after all? What way on earth do we need to follow so that we can make use of this particular aspect of our brain to do the good things? See if we know that our brain seeks satisfaction and that if we start reading from the part of the book that is more “</span><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:italic;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">interest arousing</span><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">”, there is a bigger chance that we will keep on. So indeed the advice is to rummage through and </span><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:700;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">start from the most interesting part.</span></p>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:12pt;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">This advice may look simple but is a very crucial one. You must not take it lightly. At least you shall try this. Start reading from the part of the book or the notes you have taken for something that captures your interest the most. Once you have read enough from that specific part of the writing, shift on to the relevant part.</span></p>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:12pt;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">I remember once before exams when they were just nigh and I was not in the mood of studying. I picked up my notes and put them back. It was kind of a double feeling. To study or not to study? I would speak to myself well if you are not studying, you will not get your dream grade. You may not be knowledgeable enough in your future field. I would randomly pick up a pen and start doodling and it was kind of satisfying.</span></p>
<h4 dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:11pt;margin-bottom:2pt;"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:Arial;color:#666666;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">That is where the real thing hit my mind- incentive! I saw that doodling and randomly using a pen kind of felt good so I picked up my notes again and began copying them on my notebook. And then guess what, I wrote and wrote until it was enough for my wrists and then moved on to the next chapter&#8217;s reading. In effect, I was motivated.</span></h4>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:12pt;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">Besides motivation, one should work upon changing his or her routine for the best. To understand the point here is an example from chemistry for those who are keen to learn science. Motivation works like a catalyst in a chemical reaction. However, if there are no reactants or not enough reactants, there is no or limited reaction. Our daily routine should be such that we have slept enough. Things are balanced enough that we do not feel a lack of energy or lethargy. Otherwise, we will only be motivated to lie down and recover enough energy in the hand only to pick up a gadget and watch Netflix and whatnot.</span></p>
<h4 dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:12pt;margin-bottom:2pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:700;font-style:italic;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">How to motivate yourself to study</span></h4>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:12pt;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">One needs to </span><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:700;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">be brave enough to touch a book</span><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;"> and overcome the constant fear that he is not going to be able to cover the book in time anyway. Some people enter the denial phase by ignoring their problems. They spend their time scrolling down Facebook posts or watching auto-play Youtube videos one after another. Consequently, they forget they have other things to do in life which they are not doing. Because they deem those things to be “boring” and “difficult”.</span></p>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:12pt;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">They think they are overcoming the problem but the reality is these defense mechanisms are adding fuel to the fire. When they are done with procrastinating habits they realize had they utilized the time more productively, things would have been better. However, it is too late, and regretting is to no avail. So what needs to be done is to keep your brain relaxed also because the brain can get tired too. Also, the strain on your eye muscles can cause them to run out of energy if you are constantly into using mobile phones or games, etc. When you revive your energy after resting, don’t touch your smartphone. Rather hold a book and rummage through pages until you find something interesting. When you have done so, just start reading and then switch on to the chapters you need to prepare well. Simple!</span></p>
<h4 dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:12pt;margin-bottom:2pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:700;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">Take your time and think about the consequences.</span></h4>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:12pt;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:italic;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">How to motivate yourself to study</span></p>
<p></p>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:12pt;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">The last but not the least advice is that one should take his/her time and ponder upon things. One should write down what is going to happen. One should think that his or her time is wasted and things are not ready enough before exams. Similarly, what will be the benefits and how satisfied will he or she be to prove himself standing out if he or she studies better. This thought itself would be a motivation for one to at least give it a go. This will work as an incentive. Then once, following the advice given earlier, if a student starts from the parts which he or she is more curious to learn about, things will get a lot easier, and learning will be fun.</span></p>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.38;margin-top:12pt;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;"><br></span></p>

What is more, grades are important but not everything. Some go to the extent of perfectionism and do not allow their child to even blink an eye or take a second off the book to take some rest. This is because they want no less than 100 percent. Were there more than 100 percent, they would go for it. Why do they do this after all? Parents feel that their children need to work hard enough to score good grades because good grades will guarantee them a fantastic future for sure and without which they will most probably be doomed. However, this hypothesis needs to be retested, and here is why.</span></p>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 12pt; margin-bottom: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Before moving forward, we can’t deny the fact that there is always room for improvement. In addition, if you think that you can improve your academics to the next level but you are stuck. Then, you might need professional help. At that point, you should hire a subject specialist </span><a style="text-decoration: none;" href="https://cioaltutors.com/"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #1155cc; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: underline; -webkit-text-decoration-skip: none; text-decoration-skip-ink: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">tutor</span></a><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"> to work on things that you can’t comprehend well. Nowadays, it is so easy that you can find a professional </span><a style="text-decoration: none;" href="https://cioaltutors.com/online-tutors/"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #1155cc; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: underline; -webkit-text-decoration-skip: none; text-decoration-skip-ink: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">online tutor</span></a><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"> in no time from different tutoring services websites. Among the bests ones are “Cioal tutors” ( </span><a style="text-decoration: none;" href="http://cioaltutors.com/"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #1155cc; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: underline; -webkit-text-decoration-skip: none; text-decoration-skip-ink: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">home tuition in Lahore</span></a><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"> ). Both works in different ways, however, are on top of the list.</span></p>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 12pt; margin-bottom: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Let’s fast forward into the future for a while. Your child works hard and achieves the desired grades. There is nothing that stops him from enrolling in his dream university. He gets admission there and earns a Bachelor&#8217;s or even a Master’s degree. He’s become an engineer or a doctor or maybe an IT specialist.</span></p>
<h4 dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 11pt; margin-bottom: 2pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial; color: #666666; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">He acquires a job and now works dawn to dusk under an administration for the sake of one thing –money. He’s so engrossed in his job that he forgets the importance of himself even, let alone that of the world around him. What next? Is that it? No. He gets married and has children and then he repeats the same thing with his children with the same assumptions as to his parents. The cycle continues.</span></h4>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 12pt; margin-bottom: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Is that what you are pushing your child for? Really? Is money the only goal? If so, then good grades are not really important. Good grades are only and only important for those children who have firmly believed in themselves and that they need to tap their God-gifted potential to its fullest and do something innovative or become researchers in the fields in which enough work has not been done yet they are very important. This is why we need more top Ph.D. doctors and top researchers. Mending money is a different experience altogether that has to be learnt in a different way than learning at schools. Even bad graders can earn and you should know how and why. Here are some facts and true stories laid down which if are not convincing enough, nothing can be.</span></p>
<h3 dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 14pt; margin-bottom: 4pt;"><span style="font-size: 13pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: bold; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Notable inventors who performed poorly at schools</span></h3>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 12pt; margin-bottom: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Look around yourself and see how many bulbs there are to illuminate your surroundings, especially at night. Imagine there were no light bulbs and you were still to manage oil-lit lamps, every time you would need light in the dark. Were it not for the efforts of Thomas Edison, our lives wouldn’t be illuminated and we would have to live on dim lights or utter darkness.</span></p>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 12pt; margin-bottom: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">This scientist not only invented the bulb, but also went on to make around 1000 technical devices, and also pioneered motion pictures. Did he do well at school? Was he getting good grades? Well, no. On the contrary, it is said that his teacher told his parents he was poor at studying and had no future. He lost his hearing at an early age and had to face challenges as such. Alexander Graham Bell, who invented the telephone, also had a hard time studying. Now you might also be thinking that grades are important but not everything.</span></p>
<h3 dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 14pt; margin-bottom: 4pt;"><span style="font-size: 13pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: bold; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Many entrepreneurs dropped out</span></h3>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 12pt; margin-bottom: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">The new tech devices which we have now in our hands all the time and some leading social media platforms, like Facebook and Twitter, were created by people who could not complete their studies properly. One had to drop out because they couldn’t afford it. Another felt he was bound to fail. Yet another purposefully left college determined to focus on his project as he could listen to his instincts that dropping out and focusing on the project was a necessity for him to create such a platform that nearly everybody on this planet would use. Behind some success stories even though drop-outs, are the names of Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Jack Dorsey, and Mark Zuckerberg.</span></p>
<h3 dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 14pt; margin-bottom: 4pt;"><span style="font-size: 13pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: bold; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Others even after big degrees with high grades are wandering jobless</span></h3>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 12pt; margin-bottom: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">There are numerous examples of people who after completing their graduation in the Engineering field or in Biological fields and even PhDs. Yet they are wandering about finding jobs that do not match a bit of their educational experience. Thus, deeming their degrees are worthless. One can argue that there are some basic communication skills that matter. Or that one has to struggle and exert enough even after completing the degree to find a compatible job, like for example Elon Musk, one of the leading tech giants today, says there was a time he couldn’t afford an apartment and had to sleep on his office sofa instead, where he began his business.</span></p>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 12pt; margin-bottom: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Well, arguments as such prove that it is the conceptual knowledge, skills, discipline, intellectual proficiency, and the God-gifted intelligence after all that decides one’s future, and it’s not the degrees! You can learn from people, from books, and from experience without attaining a degree. A man from Karachi, Pakistan studied aeronautical engineering abroad in China and came back only to see that he would not be selected for any job despite fulfilling gazillion formalities. And guess what, he began to sell Watermelon Juice instead. -_- . God knows what went wrong with him, but certainly, the degree didn’t do any good to him as all this hard work at school and university was not meant for becoming a fruit ninja.</span></p>
<h4 dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 12pt; margin-bottom: 2pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: bold; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Communication skills and socialization are also or more important</span></h4>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 12pt; margin-bottom: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Communication skill is certainly a key to finding a job or even to start or run a business. It is well understood that if you behave in an abhorrent way, who would want to take you as an employee in his firm or how would you attract customers if you set up a business? Knowing where you need to show leniency and where you need to be firm and strict, without crossing the lines of ethics is certainly the skill you need before you exit the university and enter the practical field.</span></p>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 12pt; margin-bottom: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Rabea Ataya, the CEO of Bayt.com which is a leading website for finding jobs in the Middle East, says after extensive research that after wars and a certain dark period in his country Lebanon, there was a kind of depression in the job market. People were wandering jobless despite being qualified and having earned big degrees. He said that was, as his research proved, due to the lack of a proper way of communication. Either way was one-to-one or through documents, it wasn&#8217;t up to standards. He said there was a huge job potential. However, the rumor that there were less or no jobs diminished people’s interest and confidence. And thus he had to bridge the gap between compatible employers and employees by creating the website, where he’s given a pattern, which works.</span></p>
<h3 dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 14pt; margin-bottom: 4pt;"><span style="font-size: 13pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: bold; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Grades are not IQ tests</span></h3>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 12pt; margin-bottom: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">IQ stands for ‘intelligence quotient’ which basically is a ratio of one’s mental age to his physical age. Scientifically and psychologically speaking, intelligence can be defined as the ability of how better one can solve a certain problem with his acquired experience. By this definition, a fair test of intelligence must establish certain standards for the candidates. You will have to see for every candidate that the acquired experience they have has to be the same, factors affecting their ability to give the test must be the same and that is far from the standards set in for examinations.</span></p>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 12pt; margin-bottom: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">A rough idea of intelligence can indeed be taken from the grades because it shows a comparative result of how better a student performed as compared to the other fellows who fall in the same age group. But the thing is different factors affect the performance of students when they are giving the exam. Intelligence is a wider concept. However, grades depend on things such as how much one has learnt things by heart. Further, how well he has understood the concept, and finally how well he put it down onto the paper.</span></p>
<h3 dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 14pt; margin-bottom: 4pt;"><span style="font-size: 13pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: bold; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">&nbsp;Grades can be unfair representations</span></h3>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 12pt; margin-bottom: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Another reason for that, grades are important but not everything follows. Affected by many factors, such as illness on exam day and numerous practices, ranging from cheating to even bribing in some cases, the grading system is not reliable anymore. But there is something more to it. Even if these things are not present, an element of injustice will still be there. Say for example there is a history exam and students have to prepare sixteen chapters. One student prepares random chapters which he deems as most important or which some teachers predicted in guess papers. While the other student works hard on understanding how and when such and such events developed in the past and also memorizes the dates but unfortunately he couldn’t prepare the entire syllabus.</span></p>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 12pt; margin-bottom: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">He has gone through most but it turns out that the chapters he did not prepare well were where the questions were taken from. Another factor includes the way of expression and even disabilities like slow handwriting speed with which psychological issues go parallel. We have a story of one of our schoolmates who would fluently give correct answers to the questions when asked from the syllabus because he would study hard. But sadly, whenever tests or assessments would come, he could not score beyond even sixty percent due to low handwriting speed. Even though he was given extra time in the finals, he could not sit there in the examination hall all alone due to psychological pressure and left things incomplete. And there you go, an A grader gets a D. -_-</span></p>
<h4 dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 11pt; margin-bottom: 2pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial; color: #666666; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Another student recounts that he was very good at Mathematics. Basically, he was </span><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial; color: #666666; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: italic; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">&#8220;an A star student&#8221;</span><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial; color: #666666; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">, yet he got a grade B for Math in the finals for he could not reach the hall in time for some reason. One more student was good at the knowledge of IGSCE Islamic Studies but bad at expression. Another student prepared for a certain language paper at school. Who, according to school standards set in tests and assessments, got excellent grades. However, in the finals, he got way less, which shows certainly the examiner had slightly different standards for checking. Ao here is another factor that affects the grades- the subjectivity of the examiner in non-objective (not MCQ-like) papers.</span></h4>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 12pt; margin-bottom: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Some students are well prepared but they get ill on or around the day of the exam, or something unexpected happens. A girl who was </span><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: italic; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">&#8220;an A star student&#8221;</span><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"> overall had to, unfortunately, experience her mother’s funeral like a week before the exam, and so, her score graph went down. There are many more stories to add. However, wouldn’t these be enough to ask yourself as a parent pushing your child for super excellent grades, most often with no compromise, that what are we pushing our children for? What on earth do the grades represent about the students after all? We are not saying that grades are always unfair. However, if you get the point of this paragraph you can infer, without doubt, they are, in many cases, unfair.</span></p>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 12pt; margin-bottom: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">At schools when we prepare for the final exams, we have tests limited by time. In fact, that is what we are being prepared for how better we perform within a certain time limit. These limits can be sometimes psychologically demanding for students and they couldn’t control the adrenaline rush affecting their recall power. Adrenaline stimulates the heart rate and blood flows more to every muscle except the brain. As a result the creative part of the brain where critical thinking is controlled functions less efficiently. Grades depend on such school tests. They are essentially tests of speed and not that of your potential performance. And that is what the grade reflects speed.</span></p>
<h3 dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 14pt; margin-bottom: 4pt;"><span style="font-size: 13pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: bold; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Can be unfairly given</span></h3>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 12pt; margin-bottom: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Let alone the problems with the grading system itself, there are accounts of grades being given unjustly. Instructors at universities, due to some references with or having certain illegal and awful deals with students. They have done a lot of damage to the system. After all, grading is in the hands of the examiner. Unless the examiner is a disciplined person of responsibility, whoever influences him will get his grades amended. What is more that we tend to follow the trends rather than doing the research ourselves?</span></p>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 12pt; margin-bottom: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Around the world, we have lots of good universities, with state-of-the-art facilities. Those have not reached the level of fame certain universities have reached luckily. America IVY league universities are so glamorized that some rich businesspersons and affluent artists bribed, yes, BRIBED! authorities to get their children with average grades admitted in “top-notch” universities. So what are these grades for after all? Those having high grades were more worthy to secure the seats in the Uni but that is what happened. That is why we shouldn’t be afraid of saying that grades are important but not everything.</span></p>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 12pt; margin-bottom: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: bold; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">&nbsp;</span></p>
<h4 dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 12pt; margin-bottom: 2pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: bold; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">In a nutshell,</span></h4>
<p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 12pt; margin-bottom: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Parents should take some time off from their work to reflect upon what they want for their child. This can help be and should see what are the alternative options available if things didn’t proceed as they wish. Students should think alike. Sometimes they set no Plan Bs and get depressed if they don’t attain desired grades.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">No, not like that, it’s not the end of the world, there are numerous ways where your true potential can be tapped, work hard finding them ways out rather than working for </span><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-style: italic; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">&#8220;Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious&#8221;</span><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"> grades. Again there should be plan Bs. There should be working done on realistic grounds upon it. Grades are indeed assets. They do have value but they are the means and not the ends. If your child brings unexpected grades back home doesn’t mean he brought bad omen to the house. There would be better options waiting for us but we need to realize we should come out of the fantasy into the real world and act realistically. We should work hard on finding them out, and then more opportunities will come forth. And don’t forget that grades are important but not everything. 😉</span></p>
